The National Inquisitor

Narrative Investigation. Dangerous Truths. Conspiracies in the Dark.

The National Inquisitor is a FPS story-driven investigation game where the player steps into the shoes of an investigative journalist working for a struggling independent newspaper.

In a world of hidden cults, political corruption, secret orders, murder, cover-ups, and whispered conspiracies, truth is not simply found — it is hunted. As a reporter for The National Inquisitor, you must follow leads, interview witnesses, gather evidence, infiltrate dangerous locations, question suspects, and decide when a story is strong enough to publish.

Every investigation carries risk. Publish too soon, and the story may collapse. Wait too long, and the trail may go cold. Powerful enemies may attempt to silence you, mislead you, or destroy your reputation before the truth reaches the public.

The player must balance deadlines, evidence strength, public trust, and personal danger while uncovering a larger conspiracy stretching far beyond the first case. Each published story can grow the newspaper’s subscriber base, increase its influence, and bring the player closer to exposing the hidden powers operating behind the surface of society.

This is a game about journalism, suspicion, evidence, and courage — where every document, every witness, every photograph, every recording, and every contradiction could be the key to the truth.

Key Features

Investigative Storytelling
Uncover layered cases through interviews, evidence collection, exploration, and deduction.

Evidence-Based Publishing
Stories must be backed by enough evidence before they can be published. Weak stories may fail, damage credibility, or cost the player their job.

Deadlines and Pressure
Each investigation has time pressure. Choose which leads to follow, which suspects to question, and when to submit the final story.

Conspiracies and Secret Orders
Investigate cults, hidden societies, political corruption, and powerful figures who do not want their secrets exposed.

Subscriber Growth System
Publishing strong stories grows the newspaper’s readership, influence, and ability to challenge greater enemies.

Dangerous Field Work
Search locations, gather documents, record evidence, infiltrate restricted areas, and survive encounters with people who want the truth buried.

A Larger Mystery
Individual cases begin to reveal a deeper conspiracy — one that reaches into ancient orders, modern institutions, and the hidden machinery of power.
