Tir Na nOg Games Studio Announces Lords of Hy Brasil

A long-form Celtic grand strategy game of diplomacy, war, trade, betrayal, and kingship

Tir Na nOg Games Studio is pleased to announce Lords of Hy Brasil, a Celtic-inspired grand strategy game set upon the mist-shrouded island realm of Hy Brasil.

In Lords of Hy Brasil, players take command of ancient noble houses competing for dominance across a living campaign world. Each player must manage castles, resources, armies, alliances, trade, weapons, armour, diplomacy, and war as they attempt to shape the fate of the island and claim power over rival realms.

Designed as a long-form strategy experience, Lords of Hy Brasil is not built around quick matches or instant victories. Instead, players will submit orders, negotiate with rivals, forge alliances, move armies, prepare defences, and watch the world evolve through turn-based campaign progression.

The game draws inspiration from Celtic myth, lost island legends, medieval politics, play-by-mail strategy games, and persistent multiplayer campaign worlds. Every campaign is intended to become its own unfolding history, shaped by player decisions, betrayals, victories, defeats, and alliances.

“Lords of Hy Brasil is about more than battles,” said Tir Na nOg Games Studio. “It is about power, trust, ambition, and the stories that emerge when players are given a world to fight over, bargain over, and betray each other within.”

Planned features include castle management, army movement, resource production, diplomacy, trade deals, alliance politics, battle resolution, campaign reports, and persistent world progression. A free training realm is planned to introduce new players to the game before they enter official grand campaign worlds.

Lords of Hy Brasil is currently in development for Windows PC.

A narrative investigation game of journalism, evidence, conspiracy, and dangerous truths

Tir Na nOg Games Studio is proud to announce The National Inquisitor, a story-driven investigation game where players become an investigative journalist working for a struggling independent newspaper.

Set in a world of hidden cults, political corruption, secret orders, murder, cover-ups, and dangerous conspiracies, The National Inquisitor challenges players to uncover the truth before it is buried. As a reporter for The National Inquisitor newspaper, players must follow leads, interview witnesses, gather evidence, investigate locations, question suspects, and decide when a story is strong enough to publish.

Every case carries risk. Publishing too early may damage the paper’s credibility, while waiting too long may allow powerful enemies to hide the truth. Evidence strength, deadlines, public trust, and personal danger all play a role as the player investigates increasingly dangerous stories.

The game begins with smaller investigations before drawing the player into a much larger conspiracy involving hidden organisations, ancient orders, modern institutions, and figures who will do anything to remain unseen.

“The National Inquisitor is about the courage to ask questions in a world that wants silence,” said Tir Na nOg Games Studio. “The player is not a superhero. They are a journalist with a deadline, a notebook, and a dangerous instinct for the truth.”

Planned gameplay features include evidence collection, witness interviews, field investigation, story publishing, subscriber growth, deadline pressure, infiltration, case progression, and a larger conspiracy arc that unfolds across multiple investigations.
